Balance sheet
Investment accounts come from your holdings; add the rest below. In months of what the portfolio supplies. When the reserve drops below the floor, a refill brings it back to the target.
Dividends and interest paid out as cash (optional)
Dividends and interest that land in the money market, per year. The desk sells that much less.
After-tax money already in your IRA (Form 8606)
Only if you ever made a non-deductible IRA contribution. Form 8606, line 14 of your last return; that slice of every withdrawal comes out tax-free.
This year, outside the plan
Only what the plan does not already count. It sizes the room for gains.
Holdings you never want sold

The desk matches it to an account by its number.
A holding on this list never appears in a refill and Fill it by my rules never picks it. Tap one to keep it; tap again to release it. Useful for a stock you mean to leave to someone, or one with a gain you will not take.

Sell plan detail
Raises the dollars from each account type (the plan's split, or the amounts under Targets and tax on the Plan page), choosing lots in this order: cash first (or only surplus cash, per the cash rule on Plan), then losses to harvest, then overweight classes, then the lowest-gain long-term lots. Short-term gains come last and are flagged.

Update your holdings first
Prices change between refills. Drop a fresh statement or positions download for an account and the desk swaps in the new positions before it picks what to sell. Your do-not-sell marks stay.

Your retirement plan, turned into a paycheck
Upload the Income Plan PDF from your coach. The desk reads the paycheck, the guardrails, this year's withdrawals by account type, and the tax plan, then turns them into a monthly transfer and a refill schedule.
This year's tax plan
Your targets and tax picture
Your plan says how much to pull from each account type this year. This desk takes it from there: which holdings, which lots, and what the tax bill looks like.
Tax thresholds used (2026 figures, editable)
Long-term capital gain brackets are on taxable income. IRMAA tiers are on MAGI and are cliffs: one dollar over moves you a whole tier. Update these each January or when your situation changes.
Accounts and tax lots
Lot-level detail matters in taxable accounts because each lot has its own cost basis and holding period. In IRAs and Roths, a lot is just a position.

Where you sit against target
Drift is measured across the whole household, not account by account. Rebalancing happens first inside tax-deferred accounts, where trades cost nothing in tax.
| Asset class | Current $ | Current % | Target % | Drift | $ to target | Status |
|---|
Rebalance trades (no withdrawal)
Sells overweight classes and buys underweight ones, preferring tax-deferred accounts, then taxable loss lots, then taxable gains inside your gain budget. Only classes outside the drift band are traded.

Is each holding in the right kind of account?
Same allocation, different tax bill. Ordinary-income assets (taxable bonds, REITs) belong in IRAs; highest-growth assets in the Roth; broad stock index funds are fine in taxable because their gains are deferred and taxed at long-term rates.
Fewer accounts.
